The newest year-round fashion fragrance for Faberge was A Touch of Class, a popularly price women's fragrance for wide distribution, introduced in the spring of 1981, this line was extended to include her new gift sets for Christmas. Through the year, a popular half-ounce Cologne was promoted to attract new customers for this citrus-touched floral fragrance. This brand was supported by lively print ads and tv spots set to the George Barrie/Sammy Cahn song from the film, A Touch of Class.
In 1982, this fragrance was introduced in Italy and West Germany. In its second year in Canada, good sales were recorded for the collection, and, in the UK, sales continued strong.
